LOVINGLY AGED FLOORBOARDS

Emile Berton

Designed by Emile Berton – the oak plank with the naturally dried, fire-aged surface. The product is constructed on waterproof glued birch plywood (multiplex) with a 5-6 mm thick solid layer of sawn oak. This preserves the natural surface, including bending in the branch area. Each element is elaborately puttyled, sanded and brushed by hand.

The planks are equipped with tongue & groove all around and beveled on the long side (broken edge).

The colouring is based on stains, often also so-called reactive stains, which offer a particularly natural appearance.

DIMENSIONS

180 to 300 mm wide, delivered in falling widths, 16 mm thick, with a 4-5 mm thick sawn oak top layer (no thin-cut veneer). Aged with fire. Soft, irregular edges and cracks. Falling lengths from 1800 - 2500 mm, max. 20 % starter lengths. As construction height 16 mm must be considered.

GRADING

Lively, with accentuated branches that remain partly sublime, three-dimensional and natural.

CONSTRUCTION

Sawn oak veneer + 12 mm dimensionally stable, waterproof glued birch plywood, tongue and groove, bevelled on 2 sides
